Hello Clint, I forgot to ask you about stocks for the M-1. If you were to do a triple lug job, "What do you tell Weinig Stocks when you order it" or do you order the stocks yourself?

Hello Clint, I talked to you the other day on the phone about sending you a M-1 to accurize, how ever I also have another M-1 that you did a single lug job to years ago. I bought it from Dan Deborgowski and I love it, my question is when I remove the action from the stock and then replace it in the stock "What is the torque for the rear lug screw"?

Client,
This question is concerning an M1 Garand that has not been bedded and has a military stock.
I am checking the alignment of the op rod. It appears to be concentrically center in the gas cylinder. Also, it easily passes the 60 degree test with the bolt connected. However, When I put it in the stock I can see that the op rod is rubbing against the right side of the front stock ferule.
Is this normal?
Thanks,
Gary

Hi Clint. I've heard that the M1 carbine has a "shot-limit" to the receiver which I take to mean that the receiver gives out beyond this number of shots. Is there such a thing for the M1 Garand?

I assure you that you can get sub-minute accuracy every time on both guns with the only qualification that the barrel must be in reasonably good condition.

Hi Clint. I forgot to add that I am so delighted with the M1 Garand that I received. It is a super smooth shooter with surprisingly little recoil and very accurate even with the Greek surplus ammo. And everybody is complimenting me on how wonderful the stock looks. This is an incredible deal and a joy to shoot. Thanks so much.

Hi Clint. What kind of accuracy can you guarantee for an M1 or M1A with everything that can be done: triple lug accuracy job, triple laminated stock, Krieger match barrel and anything else?

James

The M1 in the ebook has the standard accuracy job, however, the triple lug job can be added if desired but it will also need a stock, as this stock will not handle the triple lug job.

Clint, I haven't yet downloaded the book but wanted to ask if the garand you used to make the book and have for sale has your triple lug job?

Hi Clint. Thanks a lot for the explanation about the adjustable gas plug. Just a couple more questions which might seem naive since I don't know what the plug actually looks like. Do you need a special tool to adjust the screws? Is a regular screwdriver okay? And I remember on the test groups that you sent me you wrote about 1 hour increments for turning the screws. I guess that 1/60th of a full rotation of the screw would be a minute increment, so what is an hour? Would that be a complete rotation? That doesn't sound right. Thanks.
