Hi, Clint. I currently have a Bushmaster DCM AR-15 and was wondering what you charge for an accuracy job? The entire gun is still original factory. Thanks, Dave.

Hello Clint, I forgot to ask you about stocks for the M-1. If you were to do a triple lug job, "What do you tell Weinig Stocks when you order it" or do you order the stocks yourself?

Hello Clint, I talked to you the other day on the phone about sending you a M-1 to accurize, how ever I also have another M-1 that you did a single lug job to years ago. I bought it from Dan Deborgowski and I love it, my question is when I remove the action from the stock and then replace it in the stock "What is the torque for the rear lug screw"?

Mr. Fowler,

I have a DCM M1D that has been in the family for years. Barrel seems to be in very good condition (TE<2, I don''t see any ME). How could you modify the rifle to shoot more accurately while still retaining its military stock, etc?

I''d like to keep the gun historically accurate, but it would be nice to tweak it for better accuracy.

Thanks,
Steve

Good morning Clinton,

First I would like to thank you for putting all your work in a book which I just bought. I have takled to you a couple of years ago about my Garand and I must say you were very impressionable. I heeded your advice and stand by it today as it has worked wonderful. However I do have a couple of questions that were not covered by the book. I have a Garand with a pepper boyds stock. I''m not ready to bed the stock this season. maybe next year. It locks up nice and tight and is a snug fit currently. After talking to you two years ago the gist of what I got out of out conversation was that I need to have a nice snug fit between the receiver and the stock and that the barrel should float so nothing interfers with the harmonics of the barrel. I noticed that the first ring (held to the barrel with a collet) was creating a "Lock Fit " with the front ferrel on the stock where the sling attaches. I opened the ring up to relieve that "Lock Fit".Was that right? Next

I''ve read on a couple comments that mention a slam fire fix for the M1A. Can you provide this service if I mail you the complete bolt.

I''ve also wondered if you could weld on a scope mount to the receiver. Like the ones offered by LRB.

thanks for your time

Client,
This question is concerning an M1 Garand that has not been bedded and has a military stock.
I am checking the alignment of the op rod. It appears to be concentrically center in the gas cylinder. Also, it easily passes the 60 degree test with the bolt connected. However, When I put it in the stock I can see that the op rod is rubbing against the right side of the front stock ferule.
Is this normal?
Thanks,
Gary

Hi Clint. I've heard that the M1 carbine has a "shot-limit" to the receiver which I take to mean that the receiver gives out beyond this number of shots. Is there such a thing for the M1 Garand?

I assure you that you can get sub-minute accuracy every time on both guns with the only qualification that the barrel must be in reasonably good condition.
